***Back in January of 2015, we designated the third Sunday of each month as our “Building Fund Offering” Sunday.   On these days, there will be the opportunity for people to give an offering, over and above our regular tithes/offerings, for our re-modeling program.  We are grateful to all who have faithfully and regularly given to our building fund these past years.  We continue to have our building fund offerings, collecting money so we can continue to get more of our aging building remodeled and we hope you can, and will, continue giving to our building fund.
***Accordingly, our next Building Fund offering will be Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019.
***At our Feb. 10 “church trips” meeting, it was decided to add a stop in Branson (anyone surprised?) on our way to the Women’s Retreat at Ozark Christian College, which will be Friday and Saturday, April 5-6.  So, we will be leaving from McKinney early Wednesday morning, April 3, staying 2 nights in Branson, then heading out for the retreat from Branson on April 5, returning to McKinney late Saturday evening on April 6.  We will rent a van and share the cost of van rental and gas.  I will arrange lodging for all who go on this trip. While I will arrange lodging, everyone will be responsible pay their own lodging costs.  Of course, food costs, as well as any show costs in Branson, are also each person’s responsibility.
***At the same church trips meeting, it also decided to attend the “Noah” movie (put on by the Sight and Sound Theater), as a church group on Thursday evening, April 11, at the Cinemark Legacy Theater in Plano for the 6:30 pm showing.   Regular tickets are $12.50, senior tickets are $11.50.  We can carpool to this event.
***Also, at this same church trips meeting, it was decided to attend, as a church group, the Gaither Homecoming in Grand Prairie on Saturday, May 4, for their 1pm “Homecoming Spectacular” event.  Tickets will cost $35 per seat (plus any taxes).  We can also carpool to this event, as well.
***Soooo….If anyone wants more information, or wants to go on any of these church trips, please let me know as early as you can so I get a van/rooms/tickets (whatever applies for each trip) at the best prices.
***JOY meeting will be Monday, Feb. 18, at 7pm.
***In our Sunday evening service, we arre in a study of the Prophets, both Major and Minor.  Come and join us at 6pm.
***In our Midweek service, have started a study in the O. T. Law.   Come and join us and share in our studies at 7pm.  (We only have a few more weeks in this study and will begin a study in Baptism.)
***In our elective Sunday School class, at 10am, Lela Rosnett is teaching a class on selected Old Testament books, currently on the book of Psalms/Proverbs.
***Check out the various bulletin boards in our Fellowship Hall that we once had scattered in different spots in the church building.  Some were hard to get to and read from and, so now, we have a bulletin board up for our mission news, one for our building news (the building plans are on that board now) and one where we post general news that the church family might find interesting.
